that would be an awkward handle. i wouldn't ever put one on a 5-speed car.
so much for short throw. it just doesn't seem non-muscle car material.

it looks nice and i can see the comfort in gripping it. maybe its just me but i prefer the ball type shifters because for the fact i just hold the very top of the knob.

a taller handle doesn't mean it isn't a short-throw anymore
what makes it a short throw is the modification to where the shift cables attach NOT the height of the shifter
Looks aggressive! I can deffinently see the comfort of it with respects to wrist position and what have you. How tall is it over the stocker?

i love it! get some more pics from different angles.
LoL that is rich! Nice.

Odd to see a Hurst on a sport compact.

That will screw on the B&M's leaver, correct?
Have any more pics?

Obviously every one will have their own opinions for comfort, but for me personally, once I wrapped my hand around the grip, it was the absolute furthest thing from awkward. When your arm is at rest at your side, your wrist's natural position places your hand in a vertical alignment. With the design of the finger grip, your hand sits very naturally on the shifter, and very comfortably around it as well. Again, for me personally, I will never go back to a ball/knob style shifter.

Exactly like PJ just stated, the short throw characteristics are not affected in any way, and I would further argue that this setup allows you to shift faster (possibly not in all cases, but for me, without a question).
yeah, i see how someone can really like that style but i was just saying for me and the way I drive. should've been more descriptive about what i meant, i guess
and yes, i see how the "short throw" REALLY isn't affected but i was just saying it looks alittle tall. lol, as ramairsedan was asking.
it's a nice addition but not my style. congrats though.

Actually the height would make a difference, just not as much of a difference as changing the pivot point.
I used to have that shifter in another car.....at first I was leery of it, but once I griped it I loved it. only downside is that it gets HOT in the sun.
very nice me an my friend have been contemplating buying it i think ima get it now lol if you can get any other pics thatd be great, and its only a 1/4 inch taller than the momo one? i have the stock b&n knob on there and like the height that its at, let me kn ow thanks man!

thats a NICE shift knob, my dad had that same one on his mustang that we had, you wouldnt think you could grab it good, but you definately can..its nice!
it looks good. i like it and all. but from a visual aspect, i cant see it flowing with the interior. i just got the whole muscle car to sport compact differential thing going on in my head. i dunno. depending on price, i dunno if it would be worth it to me. i would LOVE to have that shifter in my car, but cant see it flowing inside a cavalier and looking at home there ya know? BTW, did u remove the reverse lockout on the short throw? and if so, how? thanks man. adios
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
