Blow off valve?
Monday, September 05, 2005 8:46 PM
Just wondering if it is possible to have a blow off valve on an N/A car....not that I would want one cuz I think it would be stupid basically making ppl think you have a turbo but was told it was possible today by someone and wonder if this guy knows what he is talking about.

I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it

The answer is No. A blow off valve is only for turbocharged vehicles. What a blow off valve does is release are from the charger pipes when it's not going into the motor.

By the way, tell that person he is an idiot...

Yes it is possbile but you have to build your setup. The traditionnal BOV go on the intake pipe and goes off with Vacuum and boost. What you could do if make a setup with an 02 tank and rig something up to make it work when you let off the gas.

Useless tough.

True he could do that and you're right it's useless...that's why I just left it as a no. Like my good friend cannon fodder says:
