Alright, I know the Z06 has the hood scoop and the side vent brakes for the rear. Now my question is did they make a convertible Z06? There was a new Corvette sitting in a parking lot that had the scoop and the vents but it was a convertible. I'll have to see if I can get some pictures sometime but I'm still confused right now.

I believe there was a Z06 convertible at the auto show? I could be wrong though, may have been a normal Corvette. They had a few Z06's & regular ones mixed.
I was just wondering. It confused hte heck out of me because it was a convertible but when I looked it had the side brake vents for the rear and the hood scoop like the Z06. I couldn't see if it had any badges or not and I didn't have time to stop in and find the owner.

People say that what doesn't kill you in this life
will make you stronger. I'm not sure if that is true
or not, but i do know one thing-You have to learn from
it and it has to make you better.......it has to.......
This may sound dumb, but when I worked at a chevy dealership the zo6 we sold had non power antennas. Does anyone know why they wouldn't make them power like every other corvette i've seen?

weight savings is part of the Z06 package
I knew an older fella who had a vert and bought some Z06 exterior parts to make it look Z06ish.
A corvette is the only car i'd ever buy in a vert. Verts look soo sexy with the top down, but I dont like them with the top up. A corvette though is 99.9999% of the time a second car. So i'd only be driving it on nice sunny day's anyways. So i'd always have the top down.

It really has very little to do with the weight.
It concerns how strong the car itself is. GM won't release the convertible Z06 because then it isn't what it is supposed to be. A VERY solid handler with power. The chassis is a decent amount 'softer' or 'weaker' on the convertible.

Sounds like this....when it had the LS1...

the weight was refering to the car having a regular antena , and not a power antena
since the Z06 is geared more for the performance driver , and not the cruiser
even thought alot of cruisers do buy them
Eh...missed that post.

All I can figure right now is the car I saw just had the look of a Z06. If I can find my camera and see the car again I'll get some pictures and try to talk to the owner.
