yeah it would say TSi on it

also if you look under the back of the car you will see the rear axle set up

for 250.00 id guess its a 1.8 , slow-mobile , and not a turbo awd

Well...there's was an AWD badge...but since you said there's no badging. A very easy way is to stop and just get on your stomach and look under the car...if it's AWD you'll see diffs and transfer cases..if it's not..it'll look like any other FWD car underneath

It's not going to be an AWD for $250, and if it is, it's nonturbo. For the money it will cost to boost a nonturbo DSM, you can get one turbo from the factory and have money to spare. And either way, for $250, it's got a ton of issues. A TSI in good condition whatsoever will cost a minimum of $2k.

I've seen a few that had AWD and no turbo, but I'm guessing they either started with AWD and swapped the nonturbo motor (why I have no idea), removed the turbo (again, no idea why) or had a FWD base model and swapped to AWD.

Either way, the whole point of the DSMs these days, is you can buy one for dirt cheap, spend less than 3K, and lay down bad-ass numbers. A lot of us lay down low 12's and have yet to spend 5K including the car. I'm pulling out low 11's and I have less than 7K invested, including the car.

There are a number of sites like this one dedicated t othe DSM community. For parts I'd recommend Road Race Engineering (RRE), Ralliart (Mitsubishi's version of Mugen or SVT), Mach V Motorsports, Buscher Racing... there are several others, but for the most part RRE and Ralliart are where I go for a lot of my gear. Ralliart is mainly dedicated to Mitsubishi's Pro Rally efforts, but GVR4 and early Evo parts for the 4G63 usually work with the DSMs. There's always the local Mitsubishi dealer, too. It's amazing what you can do with OE parts.
