I just picked up my 06 WV MK5 GTI this weekend.

Its pearl white with 17s.

It has the new 2.0t engine. its like 200hp/210ftlbs. im dynoing it soon.....

And it has the most amazing trans ever. The 6 speed auto/manual. In auto mode it shifts instantly and in manual mode it shifts just as fast except youre shifting it by pushing the gear shifter forward or back, or clicking the steering wheel paddle shifters.

its small looking from the outside (especially the length), but suprisingly roomy on the inside. my friends (normal 6ft dudes) fit fine in the back seats even when I'm leaning back in my seat a bit.

Im offically jealous...I just priced one out last week...And if it was my only car id def be spending the money on it...


The 6speed auto is faster than the manual by like 4/10s of a second, nice choice

I am the same way, I think the only color I like on the new GTi is black. Nonetheless, congratulations on the new ride.

wow good for you. you said last week you were probably gonna get one and you did.

only thing i dont like is the wheels. i like the other ones better. the ones in the commercial. nevertheless, its hot. its a long way off but i think that is going to be my next car in 2-3 years

thats the plan. im just not sure of the "rights" and "wrongs" of these cars...so i gotta get all that sorted out before i get modding. more reading on vortex i guess

the more i see them the more i want one. i saw a red one today. it made me smile. i built one on the website and it came to around 27, which is less than i thought. i figure i can get a used 07 in 09 when i get a new car for under 20. that'd be nice
