I remember seeing a post before saying it was going to be called a stingray. I hope so, i like it better than z07. Looks pretty mean IMO.
thats nothing more than the magazine guessing what it will look like. Not an official GM pic, all they did was photoshop parts from the C6R onto a C6 and call it a blue-devil/sting ray/whatever.
i dont care if it is a photoshop, i just busted a nut...
dam that is pretty dam sweet

No @!#$? (Heads to RS to add another overpriced toy to my collection), looks great, hope it really happens too.
100 grand huh? so u can get an 06 vette with that engine minus the charger and cf parts for 68-70k or spend an extra 30 grand for 145hp supercharger and some cf parts....
ill take a sts kit or charge it myself.

It won't have moredisplacement. The car almost certainly has less unless they plan on boosting a 11+:1 compression ratio. They will make it have a smaller engine.
Also, sure you can buy an 06 corvette for less and mod it. But you wont have all of the carbon fiber parts, brakes, factory WARRANTY. And it will definatly cost you to
get that kind of power

I think they are starting to make them look like ferraris and lamborghini's. They need to stick with their own style. The older 90's style or even the early 2k.
That is actually Really, Really close to it though
the real one does not have the scoops on the back
though...and no louvers on the fenders.
I know first hand because i look at one everyday at work.
my Comapny is building the entire head assembly for these
actually we make the parts, the actual engine is built by Linemar in
Guelph, Ontario Canada. Where they build the current Z06 motor
that we also make the parts for.
The car is beautiful though...no i can't take pictures.

Hahahahaha, ok
Um, wrong. Don't try to "Motor Trend" me. I don't care what you read. I'm telling you a
factthat the motors
for the Z06 and the STS-V are built by Linemar in Guelph Canada. Are you going to seriously try and argue with me?
I just told you my company makes all the Titanium parts and that's where they go to be assembled.
I've personally been to the plant. End of story.
don't try to sound like you know, when you don't. Some bits and peices may be added as well
as the Powertrain in Wixom but the motors and especially the heads are built in Canada. Sorry.
We also build ALL the Titanium parts for Renault F1, Ferrrari F1, Hendricks Motorsprts, Bill Davis Racing,
Porsche Racing, BMW F1, Ducati, Suzuki, Yamaha, KTM and alot more. It's my jobs reputaion in the racing
business thathelped GM choose us to build the parts for the high end cars. We are currently building major
components for the new V8 that BMW is putting in the next M3. And the new Box 8 that Porsche is testing to
maybe put in the 911 in the next few years.

ok well linemar may build the parts, but the motors are hand assemebled in wixom. If you mean linemar makes PARTS then fine, if you're trying to tell me they assemble the motor you're wrong.
no my company makes the parts, they are sent to Canada to Linemar for assembly.
i have no clue where Wixom comes in, but all motor components we make go to Linamar in Guelph
When i visited the facility, they were assembling Z06 motors...right there in front of me.
And STS-V motors in the other half of the buliding. So i'm telling what i know is a fact. I don't
doubt Wixom has a hand in the build elsewhere in the motor...because we send parts there too....
but i know they are made in Canada, at least the largest portion of the engine build is anyway.
eitherway, back on topic. The upgraded Z06 is a sweet ride. I have not yet sat in it but it looks
sweet.
