Out with the old..In with the new!!!!

Well after five yrs. of having 2 cavaliers I have decided its time for a change and went with an import. I've had the car a week and will probably never buy another american car after driving this. I'll still stop by every now and then. So on with the pics....

Enjoy.

to be fair dude, you went from a cavalier to a Z... not exactly an even comparison. But congrats, you just gave Car and Driver an idea for their next comparo!

I wrote this post a long time ago, a real long time ago, back in 94.

Totally agree with ya I meant american cars in general. Unless its a truck. Import cars seem much more well made, thats all.

guy at work has a supercharged and intercooled G35. I've been trying to take a peek at it, but I haven't been able to catch him yet. it's a pretty sweet car.

I love the look of the g35's also but I look at it as spending 3 or 4 grand more for a backseat, sunroof, and some luxury options.

And my camera is a Canon Powershot A75, just a 3.2 megapixel.

I think he was saying going from a cav to a 350z doesn't give you a fair representation of american cars.

Nice Z by the way. Want to race?

well it took some pretty nice pics

ive got to figure out what is wrong with the new 1 my g/f got its a 6 mega pixil , and its pics come out like a phone camera took um , really grainy

rear seat in the G might have save you in insurance costs , but might not have paid for it self though

i think the G35 sedans look nice too

have you done any milage checks with yours ? i still cant believe my freinds g/fs gets that poor , it is a auto

you gonna mod it or leave it the way it is ?

My insurance only went up 30 dollars more than the cav.
And the Z has a gauge that gives you different readings for things on the car and Im averaging about 19-20 mpg around the city havent really had it on the highway much. But mine is a 6 spd manual.

The only thing I plan on doing as of right now is put some staggered wheels and maybe a lip kit. I'd love to twin turbo it but that wouldnt be for awhile.

My father has a g35 and when I drive it I always ask if he wants to trade me for my sunfire. it's an amazing car and it really does compare to porsche and high end audi's and bmw's.

On Father's day my gf and I were driving down Hall Road here in Michigan. There was a guy with a really sweet 350z ... I asked him while we were at a stop light, what all he had done to it. I guess he had a completly new motor in it with a twin turbo. I asked him to spool them up, but it has less than 1,000 miles on it. But when he shifted into gears ... you could hear the BOV ... it sounded REALLY SWEET!!

I was going to get a Z, but I went with a vette. My friends all have Z's ( look up CrawfordZ). They look nice, but I feel the vette is a much better performer, out of the box and with mods. Even the guys with built, forged engines are popping them constantly. We just had a guy who had a $60,000 engine built for his car (700hp low boost 1000 high boost), and it blew. He has been through several built engines. It is funny, he is an older guy, probably in his 50's?

It is a great car to drive with a few mods. I would do Crawford headers, and a Crawford plenum. .I watched these being developed and many dyno runs. Great upgrade. Start off with a JWT popcharger intake system, intakes sound great through those cams.

Word of advise, the car will outdrive the tires anyday so don't wreck. The Potenzas SUCK ASS. Get new tires and the Z will handle 50X better.

^ good advice. I hear the stock tires can be a considerable hazard in the rain too. Congrats on the new car though!
