Pics Of The Goat At The Shop No 56k

The car has been in the shop for the past several weeks now

1. Needed a new clutch put in.

2. Had them install the new gas tank since it needed the filler neck swapped to the new one

3. Now rear end is being swapped out since it had the wrong gears it had 256 and a open diff and we are having a 356 posi put in but come to find the rear end housing isn't correct its a canadian made housing and won't take the new diff correctly. The shop found a used rear end housing and possibly good components from a Chevelle. year unknown. They are going to check to see if the internals are what we need.

I took the oppurtunity to take some good pics under the car.

I found some areas that will need some TLC but overall not bad shape for a car form the 60s

Though I am afraid of what I'll find when I strip the front fenders down

... i didnt know you had a goat. when'd you get that? looks like a '68 or a '69, more towards the '68 side.

Andy

it's not how fast you go, it's how you get there that counts.

I thought all big block A bodies had 12 bolts in em? Why not upgrade and ditch the 10 bolt....

That car will be a lot nicer to drive when the highway gears and peg leg are gone. I bet it will leave a helluva single track black mark though.

The goat is pretty rust free, especially for being in the rust belt.

excellent
we were lucky doing the mustang
we had one car to start on, and there was a bunch that needed to be replaced hard core
so we decided to look around for a better starting point and found this guy who had comepletely redone the entire shell
floor, quarters, everything, not a spot on there
got it for a steal too
