can you elaberate on that? just kinda curious of what exactly that is. good to know that theres some ways to modd an eco ecu, even though i know that wont work in a jbody.
btw how much did u pick up the 2.4 ss for?

The car was 17k and some change not sure of the exact number, only option was a sunroof. Vector Motorsports is near detroit and pretty much just tuned the ecu like you guys can w/ hp tuners (not sure what they used). But here's a list of things they did right from Vector, its from a Solstice forum but the same applies:
• Proprietary extensive fuel and spark mapping for high octane fuels. THIS REQUIRES PREMIUM FUEL!
• Removal of the top speed limiter
• Nearly eliminating the drop in power felt when Variable Valve Timing Kicks in (check out any stock solstice dyno sheet for info on this one )
• Elimination of the Power Enrichment delay that causes VERY lean A/F ratios under load.
• Revised "nanny controls" for hellacious burnouts and power shifts. This will be a must for anyone who wants to race their Sol! Not only does the Sol make more power and low end torque but the computer will now actually allow it to hit the ground!
• Increased timing in cruise areas for improved fuel economy: Beta users report an increase in fuel economy, your mileage may vary!
• Raised rev limiter to accommodate the engines new power band.
There are many more small changes but these are some of the highlights, we tune more areas of the ECM than any other tuners or tune programs out there; remember we cant give away ALL of our secrets!

rock on. how much did that set you back? can you feel the difference? new redline?
just kinda curious on how it is. i almost held of buying my cavi for one, but i didnt know how the 2.4vvt would be. as it just came out

Well it was free for me since i was their test car but i think they charge 300-400. And i can definatly feel a difference. The granny controls on our ecu is what holds a lot back. It pulls much harder pretty much all the way through the rev band. And the new 7000 redline is nice, although i want to bump it up to 7200 when i get re-tuned. here's my dyno before and after the re-tune, car has intake and exhaust at the time. It was on a mustang dyno

Vector is awesome. I met up with Chris from vector in De and got the trailblazer tuned. He had 2 new GTO's, 6 trailblazer SS's and about 12 solstices he was tuning. Vector is a great company with awesome customer service. My trailblazer cost 400$ to tune and bumped it up to 430 horsepower. Also my fuel economy went up!
can someone give me the number to vector, this would be great for me
