I was dropping my kid off at his private school when a new BMW M6 pulls into the parking lot. Quite a machine. I'm not into BMW's but this thing looks like it eats CTS-V's for lunch. I looked up the stats, it does. 500 hp/0-60 in 4.1 secs. Of course it has a price tag of over $100,000.00 which makes the CTS-V seem like the bargain of the century, so I'm note quite convinced this BMW is that great a deal. In any case, the M6 does a least look better (and sounds better) than previous non M Bimmers. I'm thinking this will be just a rare sighting, not something I'll see too often. Anybody seen the new BMW M6?

And im sure anybody that goes to Easton can verify with me.
I can verify that, and new lambos, rolls, bentlys, ferraris. A warm day at Easton is a verifiable car show.

everyone and their mothers owns a bmw out in this town.. i see an m6 at least twice a day.
The back-end looks weird... it's not the tail end of an M6 I'll say that.
Urban: I'd think it'd depend on the Jaguar

X/S types are a dime a dozen. Hell, I was looking at an X-type instead of a G35.
Aren't you in Toronto??

I usually a M6 every time I head out towards the local city in my area. There is a family that has a house on the corner that owns a M6 along with an Evo and a STi.
Nice car but I would still like to have an e46 M3 if I had to choose a bimmer.
Have a good one,
Justin
I used to love the M3 but ever since this M6 came out its just an awesome machine... better yet what other sedan(m5) can do over 200mph comfortable... (if the speed limiter was removed in the states.)

no one's denying bmw's mechanical prowess, but if you're a bmw puritan (like me)
than you'll go on record to call bmw's current designs "stylized turds on wheels".
Beyond styling woes, automotive journalists have already stated diminished fit and
finish on the 3 series. Some have commented the 6 series interior is sub par to its
rivals (like Jaguar).
Ultimately, I think BMW is a victim of its own success. The Quandt family ordered chris
bangle to radicalize the line-up. The good news is that bmw sales are up. The bad
news is the company aliened their long-term fans and diminished brand exclusivity
via a flooded marketplace with bmws that every tom dic and harry seem to own. Not
only that, it seems increased sales volume has created fit and finish issues.
Personally, I'm still in the market for a 2002-2005 3 series sedan (not the butchered
2006+ e90 series) . I live in a hic town with merely a handful of bmw owners, so the
exclusivity factor applies. Having said that, if I lived in a big town flooded with bimmers
than I would certainly opt for something different like a cadillac or a jaguar.
I think you can sum up BMW's problems in one word. iDrive... and the fact that it still exsists despite the fact nobody has ever said anything good about it. Personally, I like the way the new ones look.

i drive....is that somthing i can d/l off i-tunes?
imagine that your $40,000 dollar car has this big ugly knob in the center of your car that you can push. When you spin it your car does weird things
I-Drive BUTTON!!

I think alot of you are mistaken. The "M6" has only been out for a month or 2. so i doubt you see tons of those in your respective neighborhoods. What I believe you are however seeing is BMW 6 Series coupes. They've been out for 2 years or so.
There is a difference, not all 6 seriess coupes from BMW are automatically M6's. At $100,000+ a pop and only being out for a short time it's not likely "M" edition 6 Series coupes are "all over" like a nissans & Chevy's.
I doun't doubt any of you have seen an M6 coupes, Just not tons and tons of them on any given day. I live in L.A. where BMW's seriously are like Nissans & Chevy's and have only seen 2 "M6's" in the past 2 months. But i see regular 6 Series Coupes everyday, all day....to many to count.

I've seen it on Fifth Gear a while ago (last summer?) I've seen one in person for a few minutes in traffic.
Anyhow. I know 3 BMW owners (750iL's no less) that have traded their Bimmers for MBs, only because of iDrive. Sounds (and looks) like a Mac product.

Sudbury.. ouch... I think it's funny when people from there talk about going to Timmins as a trip into the "big city." lol. I know a few people from N.Ontario... man that's gotta suck.
