Ok, I am getting a set of Eagle 077 series rims for $150.
They are a 17 by 9.5 rim. They currently have 245/45's on them. I plan to keep this size.
I was looking at some Kumho Ecsta 711's, I hear they are real good, for a nice price. But, I could not find a price for that tire in the size that I want. I am open to any suggestions for a tire right now. I do not want Z rated tires, I just want a good daily driveable tire, directional preferable, but it doesn't matter.
I have been thinking about a set of Eagle GTII's or something, maybe the HP's. But, I think I'm really liking the Kumhos.
Now, my other question is for the Third Gen F-body guys.
These rims are the stock offset for a 4th gen Camaro, so I need adapters/spacers. How wide do I need them? I was told 2" in the back, and up to 2.5" in the front, but a 2.25" in the front SHOULD clear everything.

Cooper Zeon 2XS comes in that size. Very nice tire, in my opinion. Cooper is a great brand, you get the same reliabillity and performance as any of the other major companies (read: goodyear, michelin, etc.), but you pay a lot less for them.

Nice, is it possible to find a price on those? I work in a tire store, so I can get them cheaper than what most pay, but I still don't want to spend a ton of money.
One of the guys I work with is telling me that I need to get some Z rated tires, which are a hell of alot more expensive, I don't drive 130 everywhere I go, but he tells me that I want that tire if I like to take corners fast, which I do.

Z rated will help with cornering, as the sidewalls are a bit stiffer. Though unless you plan on driving like a maniac all the time, it won't be necessary. If you plan on doing normal type driving (as in under 100, if even by a little), then I wouldn't worry about it. Those Cooper tires I linked you to will do just as well as a big name Z rated.

As for pricing, you're best off calling around, as there really is no "norm" when it comes to tire pricing. For example, though, I recently bought a set of 4 Cooper Lifeliners for my Elantra. They were the exact same specs, and like 99% the same tread pattern as the Michellin Energy tires that came stock. When I was getting quotes from my local tire shop, the total cost for the 4 Coopers with mounting, balancing, road hazard, taxes, AND disposal totaled the cost of what 2 of the Michellin tires cost ALONE. And to be honest, the way the tires FEEL... I like the Coopers better.
