1998 Ford Escort, i cant find the fuel filter on the damn thing, its a bit irritating, do i have to drop the gas tank to change it?

99.9% of fuel filters on gas engines are on the frame rail on the left side. Start from the tank and follow the lines. Its on the frame rail somewhere from the tank to the engine.
been there done that, had 3 of the other techs look too lol we couldnt find it.
