first off, no the cav wasn't traded in. still got it. my g/f's car has been giving her problems lately so last night we went looking for a smaller SUV (cuz of the kid). ended up picking up a 2003 buick rendezvous cxw/ 69990 miles for around $10k.
here's some pics of it from the dealer:
i should have more pics once i get around to washing and waxing it.
tell me what you guys/girls think.

SO EVERYTHING!
From my exprience
They have soooo much @!#$ room. Its amazing what you can haul in one of them. However, Under powered, ride quality is blah, and handeling is @!#$ty.
Also in NY you could have got the same thing with half the miles for that price.
That color seems to be really popular...
ehehe if that is based on the chevy equinox platorm *yes i know thats not the name*, those have had tons of issues,
even fi its not a "new" car is always fun, enjoy it and let us know what you think!
it is nice and roomy for the size of it. power isn't too bad. its just gonna be used for hauling the kids around. ride quality wasn't that great. but yea, handling wasn't the greatest but i didn't expect much since it is technically an suv.
as for price, we looked at a few others and they were all more expensive (at least 15k).

I was comparing it to other SUVs. My moms denali handles better. That sucks you couldnt find it cheaper, at our local Ford Dealer they have over 20 of them used and most of them for 9-11 grand have less than 40k miles

Buick Rendezvous is a conservative looking Pontiac Aztek. GM's first attempt at the "crossover" market. It is not based on the Theta like Equinox, but based on the Chevy Venture minivan U-body (which is why there is so much room).
BTW good buy and great price too. Enjoy!

Thanks guys. G/f loves the car and everyone is giving us compliments on it that sees it. As we might have another little one on the way, so it was a smart buy.

You'll like driving it. My dad has an 02 Aztek and it's not fun to look at but it's one of the most practical vehicles I've driven. The ride is great and it gets decent mileage. Have fun!
my grandmother has one exactly like that one...i dont really like the look of them but man they drive nice and yes they have massive amounts of room in them. Sounds like you got a pretty decent deal. Congrats!
