Saturn ion brakes

im doing a set of ion brakes tommarow, i know a couple people on here have them. im just wondering if you guys know what type of tool the caplier is held on with (torx,allen,nut etc)

Doesn't gm only use torx becuase of ease of use

and torx bits are the biggest pieces of @!#$ ive ever encountered

my alero used (i think)13mm bolts

Torx works great. Its just say easy to use a size too small and it strips it out. Just gotta be sure you're using the right size.

trox @!#$ suck i dont care what anyone says, even with the right size they strip out easily.



edit: you guys might not live in a heavily snowy area with tons of salt and watnot so maybe trox bits last longer then 3 years, so my perceptions of the fastener are based on cars driven in salty @!#$ty roads and they rust up in 2 winters.

I hate torx but i have run into them on almost every car i have worked on. On the fronts you will probley run into alen key in the rear if drum who cares as long as you do not have to change a rear drum break cylinder. My old bonnie and my Grand am needed them replaced and a hammer was the only way. good luck
