No way. Plus it was a fleet vehicle, which = beat the @!#$ out of
A lemon with 15K miles for over $23k?
No way in hell. I dont care if it was a Vette.
If a car has enough problems that an owner that fell in love with it and payed a lot of money for it has decided that it's not worth keeping and went through the process of getting it labeled a "lemon" legally....that car has a LOT of issues.
Stay far away...unless you just love having headaches.

I'd go back there, act like I was really interested and sit down like I was gonna sing papers. Then ask them to tell me about why its a lemon.
Would you @!#$ a girl bareback knowing she had STD's???
Thanks guys for the info! Love the last statement. I called the dealer and confronted them about it and asked why didnt they tell me about it. They said that it has been checked by their mechanics and everything is good because its certified used car now. I said that they treated me like BULL#@$#@ cause they were not honest from the start. They sat there and tried to apologize but I was like you lost my business and I will be sure to tell everyone I know.

so let me get this straight, your looking at spending 23k on a lemon of a mustang when you could pick up a used c5 z06 for that price range
You can pick up a used C5 Z06 for $23k?
Most of the ones I see go for low-mid 30's...even higher with really low miles.

yes you can i have been watching prices on corvette forums for a while now, and they go for 22-28 at the most for a Z06, unless the thing has absolutly no miles there arn't many that got for over 30, you can pick up a non z06 corvette for 15-17 throw a cam, headers and a z06 intake manifold on there and have the same power for well under 20k
If i could find a regular c5 for 15k I'd buy it tomorrow. the lowest i've seen is 21k
Every C5-Z06 I've seen come through my work has been 39K+, and I see quite a bit of them.
plus, an 01 Z06 is only a 385-hp version, so it's inherently worth less
Yeah...for $15k you get 130,000 miles. When you see them that cheap...there is uaually a reason that you dont see.

As an aside ... never buy a vette that has been in an accident.
Ever.
Why? Not really a Vette person all that much, so don't know little things like this?

agreed!

i wouldn't buy ANYTHING that's been in an accident, but on a Vette there's not much metal allowing for stability in the vehicle.
it's basically a fiberglass shell on a frame(please, someone correct me if i'm wrong there).

you know, i love when people like to criticize others about their behavior,
but turn around and do the same freaking thing months later...
The vette isn't really even fiberglass anymore. It is some sort of polymer. Yeah, they are like saturns, the body panels are bolted to an aluminum frame. Most small accidents will only break a body panel, it is an easy fix.
I have seen Z06's going for 23-26k as well. I have very little in my C5 I have had for 2 years. You just have to know where to look. Some people think their cars are worth more, but in the end they will sell them for what they can if they need to. KBB shows the 2002 Z06 w 60k for 21-25k on trade in value. I have bought my last 4 cars for under the trade in value.
The thing I want to know is WHO the crap buys a S/C COBRA for a Fleet vehicle???

2004 Cavalier. Razzi. (Sold)
1998 Corvette. Some mods.
1992 Typhoon. Lots of mods.
1994 Civic VX 44MPG
I wonder what exactly happened to it that it was declared a lemon...

This is easy, someone who has more money than brains, and after the dealers I have talked to .... there are definatly alot of those.
go buy it from them then sue them for not telling you it was a lemon.
