wtf @!#$ cheap asses just put power locks on all models, it costs like what, 20 extra bucks a car to do that in bulk?
^ the reason they do that is because they need to have some sort of differentiation between the models. why would you buy the nicer model if you can get similar features on the cheaper priced model. its just the way the game works. just like bmw has their i-drive rotary thing in the 5 and 7 series, a lot of people think it sucks, but its something "nice" that adds value to the higher models.

Would've been nice had they tune the SS more, or give it a 6 speed, or just do something thats plainly different then the previous models.
3-spoke wheels = cool.

But, its just the Solstice wheel, which is the Opel wheel, which is.... well... you get the idea. Still, cool wheel.
so power locks is a reason people upgrade?
there are far more options and reasons to upgrade than power locks
plus if you stick some "cheap luxury" items into a car there are more likely to be return buyers because they got "more for their money" and also get new customers through word of mouth
gotta get people to buy somehow to prove that their "great warranty" is really something worth buying into
They need to hook me up with the remote starter, I'd like that.
what are the chances of there being major changes in the next 2 years i can see most of the ecotec powered performance cars are using the 2.0 Dis turbo engine that seem likely once the drivetrain can be made fwd
they should be doing that for 08.

/\ i bealive the chancers are very high...i think its confirmed the HHR withh come in an SS package with that LNF (aka the 2.0 turbo eco)
This info is so old. News would be if they announced changes for '08

Am I the only one that doesn't want power options, I don't like power windows, and I don't like power doors. I just wish they'd start putting the faster engines in the cars without the pwer options.
Power options just make the price go up ridiculous amounts. I can sacrifice power options to save 1K and give my arm a work out, lol
I got the 07 specifically because I wanted the 3 spoke wheel - great reason huh?

Amen brother.
I was so thrilled to find my Sunfire GT. It has a/c, power steering and brakes.
No power windows, power locks, sunroof, super extreme stereo system...
I love having the crank windows and a five speed. I'd toss the a/c out of it, but it's too much work to do so.
I'd love to see a 'stripper' Cobalt SS (or Solstice). LSJ or LNF, power steering and brakes. No a/c, power window/locks, cheapest and lightest radio system, lightweight front seats, remove about half of the sound insulation, no back seat (just carpet) six speed trans, super light 18" wheels, tower braces and big friggin brakes.
I think that would be a blast...

i am in agreement with Jacob and zinger.
My other car is an interceptor.
some people dont want pw pl and any of that crap. some people just want a car that runs drives good on gas and is cheap. so calling GM cheap asess makes you look like a moron because there giving people a better pick on what they want in a car and dont want.
also a few other things are
the LT comes with 5 lugs just the base gets 4 lugs
the amber lights are gone and now is just a clear headlight with a orange bulb.

You can get a Solstice without A/C, Pl and PW.
And still no turbo for the SS.......

Yes, after I posted I remembered there's some SCCA-Racer package available on the Solstice.
My bad.

I saw an SS Supercharged that had the LS/LT/SS spoiler on it instead of that stupid giant wing at a Chevrolet Dealership yesterday. Does this mean that Chevrolet has finally got rid of that albatross or is it just an option now?

Jeez, I hope so. I've never been a fan of those huge wings...
