Hey guys and girls,

I have a 2001 Chevy s-10 blazer 2 door 4x4. Does anybody know how to convert it to a zr-2 model????? I know its all in the suspension, but does anybody know what parts would be needed to do this?????

Can I ask...why?

wider stance
special chassis
four-inch wider tread
underbody skid plates
Bilstein heavy duty shocks
large wheels and axle bearings
rear axle track bar
3.73 rear axle with 8.5-inch ring gear
31x10.5 R15 Tires

Anyways the reason I ask why, is well, if your looking to convert, dont go with the stock parts...i mean you can build a much better machine using different parks for less than or = to the price of converting to a Zr2

well, of all the lift kits I see out there for the non-zr2 models, the highest is 6 inches, which they say with proper backspacing you can fit 32's. Why lift a truck 6 inches to fit 32's when I can fit 31's with lifting it 3 inches, but also get a better all around wheeler. The wider stnace would be nice, plus then I could get a lift kit designed for a zr2 and fit up too 35's

It's a completely different frame.
See my profile for the differences between ZR-2 and non-ZR-2 models.

I fit 31's with no lift. Thats what they come with stock. 3" of lift should fit 32's easily.

damn, that makes it harder. if I had access to a welder it wouldn't be hard to do the 6 inch lift from superlifts, but I don't. Does anybody have and experiance with body lifts on these trucks?????? That would be a good way to get 2 or 3 more inches of hieght

i have a Blazer ZR2 and have a Peformance Accesories 2" Body Lift going in very shortly as soon as the weather gets a little nicer. They're super easy to install, just time consuming and need an extra body to assist you. I'll post pics and explain the process when its done. check out http://zr2usa.com/home.php in the lift kits area lots of informative posts on lift kits.
