well i "finished" (quote) my cobalt about a month and a half ago. i bought it about 2 months and a half ago. i kind of made my own custom kit, since i dont like the cobalt kits out there, and theyre also expensive $$$. i realize alot of u probably wont like it, but i think it looks ok. regardless, the reason i quoted "finished" is because there is some work to be done on the kit, i was planning on having it professionally finished/painted........... but i have decided to bring it back to stock. reason being that my mom wants a new car, I only owe about 6k on this one, and it still has alot of warranty left. so im just gonna pay it off and give it to my mom. .. but what do i get out of it? well i get to go carshopping for a real car

using my moms credit/insurance rates

. so basically the deal is i give this car to her, she goes with me when im ready to buy me a new car, and she does everything like if it was for her. that way i get lower interest rates because of her great credit. and i also get the dirt cheap insurance because of her profile

(age/married/etc..) so we both win in the end

so in a couple of months, sky or solstice, here i come
but enough with my storytelling, heres probably the last pics youll see of my cobalt.... not like i showed many anyway lol
btw, please read what i wrote before commenting things like "you should change the kit/ get projectors/ etc...." lol just a disclaimer
probably the best looking cobalt ive seen.
^ I agree, it's a shame you're returning it to stock.
thanks alot. wow, nice to see a first post be a positive one lol
god i hate those colors!?!?
haha just kidding man, still think you need a new camera but i think it looks good
and before you hop right into a solstice or sky may i recommend widening your horizons a bit by checking out some car brands other than GM
I love it except for the side skirts... and really, the only part I dont like there is how the high part of it doesn't flow with the rest of the car...
Those front and rear bumpers fit the lines of that car friggen well.
Im even going to try to be nice to you...this is easily the first car you've done that I like and dont have a complaint about. good job man.
thanks for all the positive feedback
i dont think my mom wants to be a cop magnet lol... cops in my city hate tuner cars, and 90% of the time they see one, theyll start pacing it for a while.
yes, i will make sure and check other brands as well, its just that those two are the ones that come to mind and i really like

but ill check around. the only thing that keeps me coming back to GM is price, and well the sky is a sporty vehicle, with a reasonable price tag

HAHAHA and your car is orange and blue? lol good good.. jk
i do like the balt, just not the way the skirts dont fit the car... tell your mom your leaving it like that... haha just paint it silver and give it stock wheels... shes a lady, she will be fine... lol
HOLY @!#$!! This is the first post that you made with out anybody putting you down. Good job on the balt

I must say, I expected less from you. That kit is actually somewhat tasteful. The rear lip and front bumper are nice. Sides are a litlle extreme but i can't complain too much. You should put stock sides fenders and wheels back on, then take the vinyl off and it would be a perfectly good car.

Love the front and rear, but the fenders and skirts just don't do it for me.
thanks for all the comments...
as for the skirts... if i decide to keep it, im planning on cutting off the "flared" portions of them. in the front and rear, and just use the lower portion, sort of like bc2 style... and go back to stock fenders.
then again, thats only if i do decide to just keep it. im not sure though
^^ you should take a look at the Mazda 3 Speed, mmmm GOD those are sexy, especially in blue!!!

the only thing im not crazy about is the stickers
but i do like the kit
i would have to say the car overall is nice. much more to my personal taste than your cav. but to each his own on that, right? also, if you end up giving it to your mom, I would put stock skirts and fenders on, remove anything vinyl, and call it a day... the front and rear are subtle enough that i dont see it being a big deal. the spoiler is stock.. i just think it shouldnt be a big deal with the front and rear. you did a damn good job on em, i like those 2 pieces the best out of the whole car!
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

hmm the thing is i dont have stock skirts lol. its an ls

. so its as base as it gets. im still thinking about it though, i know financially, its not a smart move for me, since ill end up paying for a more expensive cars, and be in car debt for a couple of yrs.... but then again, i really want a new car, at least something that qualifies as a sports car
thanks for all the kind comments ppl
oh yes! im definitely getting the faster model for whatever car i end up buying. im not making my the same mistake twice and getting the lower model, only to regret it later.
i like it man. the front needs a little more work to get it looking really good, but if youre putting it back to stock then i dont guess that matters, does it?
good luck with the solstice/sky. post pics of it when you get it!
