we're having an odd problem with our 07 torrent.... it only has 7500km's.... It just started to get colder around here (-16 C) and down to around -25... anyways the left front tire pressure sensor keeps going off (even though the tire is fully inflated)... is there any way to re-set this sensor?
Are you absolutely certain all the tires are aired up to manufacturer specs? I had a problem with the pressure light on my Titan that wouldn't turn off, and I checked all the tires were at 32 PSI which I *thought* was fine. I took it in to the dealer and they just aired up the tires to 35 PSI and the light turned off.

the former." - Albert Einstein
Air all of them up to 35, drive around... if it doesn't reset, there is a way to reset all of the sensors, and it's probably better to do all of them. Look in the owners manual, it should tell you.

first things first...
like dave already asked, are you 100% sure the tires are pressured to the recomended inflation?
also are you sure that left front is actually the left front? by this i mean, have you had your tires rotated or new tires installed, anything that would cause the rims to change position on the vehicle. if you rotate the tires and dont reset the TPMS system, the vehicles computer will not realize that there has been a move.
there should be a reset procedure listed in your manual for a way to have the TPMS reset itself. usually it involves driving around at a certain speed for a certain period of time or something like that, or scrolling through items on the vehicles computer.
the other way to do it would be to use a TPMS reset tool... which are expensive for the most part, but a good tire shop or delearship will have one but will more than likely charge for a reset.
also, if you have had tires changed over or new ones put on, it is possible a sensor is damaged. if you dont remove the tire in a certain fashion, you can damage the sensor. a TPMS reset tool usually has a way to detect that aswell.

There is also another way of re-setting them on certain vehicles.
You put the vehicle into "re-learn mode" or whatever, and go around the vehicle starting with the R-F, and either slowly put air in, or slowly take air out until the horn honks. Do that to all four tires, going clockwise around the vehicle, and at the end it should honk twice. Once that's been done, turn the key to off and reset all of your air pressures, turn key back on and start vehicle, the light should be off.
That's for if you've rotated your tires or moved anything around though, usually a drive will turn the light off after the sensor has been triggered and you have the air properly set. Like mentioned though, if the tires have been rotated you need to either have a shop do the procedure, or attempt it yourself.

TPM Learn Procedure
Important: Before proceeding, ensure that no other learn procedure is being performed simultaneously or that tire pressures are not being adjusted on another TPM equipped vehicle within close proximity. Stray signals from other TPM equipped vehicles just driving by can be inadvertently learned. If any random horn chirps are heard from the vehicle while performing the learn procedure, most likely a stray sensor has been learned and the procedure will need to be cancelled and repeated. Under these circumstances, performing the TPM Learn Procedure away from other vehicles would be highly recommended. In the event a particular sensor activation does not cause the horn to chirp, it may be necessary to rotate the wheel valve stem to a different position due to the sensor signal is being blocked by another component.
Place the ignition switch in the proper position as follows:
• With standard ignition switch, place the switch in the RUN position.
• With electronic keyless ignition, place the switch in the ACCY position.
Initiate the TPM Learn Mode using one of the following procedures:
• Using a scan tool, initiate the TPM Learn Mode. A double horn chirp will sound indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
• On vehicles equipped with keyless entry, simultaneously press the keyless entry transmitters lock and unlock buttons until a double horn chirp sounds indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
• On vehicles not equipped with keyless entry, press and release the driver information center (DIC) INFO button until the RELEARN TIRE POSITIONS message appears on the DIC display. Press and hold the SET/RESET button until a double horn chirp sounds and the DIC displays a TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message indicating the Learn Mode has been enabled. The left front turn signal will also be illuminated.
Starting with the left front tire, learn the tire pressure using one of the following methods:
With special tool.
• Hold the antenna of the J-46079 aimed upward against the tire sidewall close to the wheel rim at the valve stem location. Press and release the activate button and wait for a horn chirp. Once the horn chirp has sounded, the turn signal in the next location to be learned will illuminate.
Caution: Over inflating tires may cause personal injury or damage to the tires and wheels. When increasing tire pressure do not exceed the maximum inflation pressure as noted on the tire sidewall.
Without special tool
• Increase/decrease the tire pressure for 8-10 seconds then wait for a horn chirp. The horn chirp may occur before or up to 30 seconds after the 8-10 second pressure increase/decrease time period has been reached. Once the horn chirp has sounded, the turn signal in the next location to be learned will illuminate.
After the horn chirp has sounded and the right front turn signal is illuminated, repeat step 3 for the remaining 3 sensors in the following order:
4.1. Right front
4.2. Right rear
4.3. Left rear
After the LR sensor has been learned, a double horn chirp will sound indicating all sensors have been learned.
Turn OFF the ignition to exit the learn mode.
After the learn mode has been exited, adjust all tires to the recommended pressures. Refer to Vehicle Certification, Tire Placard, Anti-Theft, and Service Parts ID Label .
There you go, if they don't learn than you have a bad sensor.
wow sounds like a PITA
but since its new cant you just take it to the dealer? or is this one of those things they dont cover

Lanman31337 -F = fatties = do not want. A little chunk in the junk is ok though.
ya I think we're just going to take it in.. seems like a bad sensor... did some googling and seems to be a common problem with torrents... thanks for all the help guys!!
