okay so i'm looking at buying a 1979 honda civic hatchback with the 1168cc motor and 4 speed for $200.
it runs good but has a pretty rusty body.
i was thinking about putting in the 1355 crank and rods, goldenwing gl1100 pistons and a 5speed trans. all for about $500
just wondering what you guys think about this purchase.

The rust isn't surprising, Honda had problems like stupid with them. You should be able to find replacements for the front quarters, not sure about the rest of the body.
Other than that, I don't know enough about that generations' swaps to say what's good or not, but if you like the idea, give'r!
