I have a question about injector duty cycle. I'm sure it is simple, or I'm just missing something, but was wondering. In gears 1,2,3 my injector duty cycle is around 80-85% (stock injectors). When I go in 4 gear (over 100mph), it jumps up to around 103%.Why is this? What else in the ECU is telling the it to raise fuel? I know the VE tables do that, but is there other tables we can't see, or I'm missing? Thanks

What happens is in 4th and 5th gear the motor is under higher loads so its pumping more fuel into the motor. Also you should look at your injector milliseconds because that can give you a better idea of how long they are open. Anything 17.0 and above is pushing it.

I understand the load part, but how is the ECU seeing the load? I thought under WOT it is giving fuel base on the VE tables? I will pull my logs to check my milliseconds, can't remember right now. Thanks for the info.

the faster you go, the more Hp it takes to make the car move. the ECM take that in to account for PE. the injectors may be working hard and over heating?
