I met a guy through a local forum, he works in the aftermarket parts biz. Anyways, I can pick up a VISRacing OEM CF hood from him for my '03 for about $460 Can. Is that a decent price? He's here in town, so shipping is not a prob. I can pick it up.

If it is a good price, what else do I need with the hood? Hood pins, or is the stock latch enough? Will it work with the prop rod, or can I use the hood struts I just ordered from Jason at A+?

Help me out, I'm a aftermarket body part newb!



I may not know much about cars, but I know two things....
1) Breaking things is expensive, and
2) Horsepower isn't cheap.

$460 CND is a pretty dang good price for a carbon fiber hood. you might want to consider getting hood pins, although, the latch should be enough to keep it down. i wouldn't use the prop struts with a carbon fiber hood, they will probably break the hood using too much force.

thats a pretty good deal..i wish there was someone around me that sold stuff and i didnt have to pay shipping


and like the purple wizard said... i wouldnt use the hood struts
