HID Conversion 9007
Friday, November 11, 2005 6:14 AM
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone had done the HID conversion? I am seriously thinking about it and wanted to know if there was anything special that I needed to do? I heard that I would need to run a seperate switch for the HID's cause the OEM wiring has a three wire system. Is this true?

Thanks,
Chris Osborn

You're a dick man... You know what Im talking about... other people posted just fine-- links to help me out, and there you sit, only cynical, unwilling... very DICK like, only you're the kind that never gets hard, poor thing... Thanks for the post reminding me to fill out my REG, idiot! But that ALL DEPENDS, now doesn't it?

Thanks to everyone else, I appreciate it... I am looking into the projectors w/ HID, gives it a better look anyway, IMO.

I did a HID conversion from 9007 and this is what i had to buy:

-Valeo Xenon HID Projector Package which come with:
(2) Valeo Projectors
(2) Hella/Philips LVQ-212 G3 Ballasts
(2) D2S HID Bulbs
(2) D2S Bulb Adaptors
(2) Ballast Covers/mounts
(2) Ballast connectors

-New wiring harness found here

-Projectors from IZN TRBL which you can get here

This is for a 97 sunfire by the way. Everything plugs straight up but you do have to disable your DRLs and make room for the ballasts. They have amazing output and are bright as hell. I will post some pics next week when i get a decent camera.

There is a guy in the JCO that made his own projectors using an S2000 assembly and put it into his '01 cavy headlight housing. His name is Flipspeed.
It was made a sticky before the site got cleaned by a mod who got a little to happy with the delete button. I'm trying to get it back up on the forum. I've seen them personally and they're beautiful

Thanks guys, I appreciate all your help. I am saying you are the lazy one, all mighty master... you did not even post a reply that was worth helping :-) All these other nice people helped w/o knowing the year of my car, and all you had to say was that depends and go $#!@ yourself. Thanks anyway :-)

I think I am going to hold off on the projectors until I have some more time and money to work on them... Ill just stick with my customizing my stockies by taking out the orange reflectors, etc.

Thanks,
Chris

I will be starting a GP on Luminics Headlight Bulbs sometime this week or next. Most likely by this Friday. So if anyone has interest in just getting new bulbs keep an eye out for it

Thanks
