done some searching didnt really come up with what i was looking for. I got my HID headlights today from the GP, MC 8000k with relays, now for the DRL disable i was reading what lenko posted about the wire snip on the wiring under the drivers area. While this is easy enough and what not, i still feel awkward about snipping a wire on there i just dont want to get the wrong one by accident and screw things up and whatnot. i was thinking about the ebrake, when its up it completes the circuit and shuts off the drls so im thinking, find that wire, and ground it and the drls will be off? or would doing this make the car think my ebrake is up too? id just be easier on my mind to just have to worry bout grounding that wire, instead of having the time bomb scenario on if i snip this wire will everything turn out alright ya know? maybe someone can "shed some light" on this? (get it haha ok ill stop trying to joke). Thanks.

your way will work, I did that to a buddies Tracker. I put a switch in the e-brake wire and the drl's went off, but the brake light on the dash stayed on. I just did this mod to my 98, just take your time and make sure you have the right wire.

Snipping the wire works fine....i was scared to do it at
first but went for it anyways. Needless to say I dont
have drls anymore.
Just make sure you cut the right
wire.
I did this probably 3 years ago. No problems

Like i said just make sure you cut the right wire. It's not hard to find.
I picked the right one the first try. Just follow the directions in the
faq's writeup for locating the wire. I havent had any lights or trouble.
even if you cut the wrong one......just reconnect it, no big deal
