Wednesday, December 21, 2005 1:39 PM
Im new to the forums and hopefully no one asked this question. I bought a 2D Cavy and it has these ugly yellow decals. Well i got tired of them so i started to remove the one on the hood and i got it off but it left the sticky goo that was used. I have went threw a few car washes and it is still there. What can i use to get it off? Please help.

How do you suggest getting the stock vinyl Z22 decals off my car without scratching the paint? Razorblade?

Razorblade will scratch the paint, use a fingernail

^^^^^^ use a heat gun to heat them up first, then peel them off. we use a blow torch at work but a heat gun will work well.

You talking about scratching the paint with RZ? and if so, that's what most people suggest to do, so... you're... dumb

Think about it if you use a razor blade on paint you are gunna scratch it unless you know what your doing. Still then you risk scratching it. You my friend are dumb if you think its a good idea to take a razor blade to your paint. But hey I would know nothing about decal removal I only do it at work on the heilos and have done it plenty of times on my car. The proper way to get one off with no scratches is use your finger nail to peal it up after heating it up with a heat gun. Then clean up any residue left with goo gone or another paint friendly compound that will break it up. A simple little search will reveal hundreds of thread with the correct methods in them and this one already has the correct methods in it.

Thanks for your input!
There's probably alot more polite ways to suggest how to do this... but in either case, I got my answer
