Hmmm . . . Check the wiring harness that connects to the bulbs themselves. If you are using after market bulbs, sometimes the heat with melt the plastic around the connectors so you won't have a good connection.

I had something similar happen to me man. I installed lit gauge overlays and blew a bulb a few days later. At first, only one bulb worked--but 12 hours and two new bulbs later they both came on, but faintly.

Now the "Brights" indicator on my HUD won't go off, and when I switch to my low beams, the check engine light comes on. Not to mention that my lows are so dull, I can't even see to drive at night.

So I'm steady blinding people after dark. Seems the left lamp shines brighter than the right too. Mechanic said all the electrical looked fine, he checked the harnesses too. I don't know whats up.

I'm sure one of you j-body gurus knows whats up. Hit me up on the email.

Thanks.

Usually when your brights icon stays on, it means the bulbs are faulty, or you are using the wrong kind of bulb, or that the harness could be shot all together. When i had these "Eurodesignz" Xenons in my car before, when they weren't snug in properly, the low beams wouldn't work all that well, and the Highbeams light would stay on. Make sure the bulbs are fitting securly into the socket, and also make their their the right bulb for the car.

thanks for the imput but i checked the harness connector over and nothing no melting or anything... the only other help to my problem is it had snowed the day before the bulb became faulty.. but i doubt snow would be a factor unless there was a break the the wire harness covering and the wire became wet... any other suggestions would be a HUGE help...

Exodus i think you misunderstood my problem.. one of my highbeams wont turn on... but both low beams work fine... i have been running stock bulbs for a couple months now due to my nice blue ones popping....
