i was looking on vs. website and they had POLY-FRP which i have no idea what it is. what is that ??? is it as good as urathane

Poly fiber is supposed to have qualities of both and be VERY flexible. I have a urethane body kit and i think they are definitely worth it.

yes, if you tend to bump curbs a LITTLE then it is worth it because it won't crack. If you hit @!#$ all the time, go with fiberglass because even urethane will crack esp when cold and hit hard enough

thanks guys. i will see how big my tax return is and i hope to get it soon. so every body will get off my back about my mesh grill. also i plan on doing a two tone paint set up. not changing my stock color add a sliver on the bottom. should i just have it painted to match body color. i still need my D-1 fenders, fender flairs, and rear bumper, so it is going to be a while

Where are you finding a urethane drift kit? Nobody makes them anymore.

Nope, can't order it. Pure, the company that was making it, went out of business.

If you want more information on it, search the GP forum. Gravana, which is a dealer for Versus, tried to get them to bring back the urethane kits. Pure was shut down by Versus and the molds "disappeared" somehow. Versus wanted a minimum of 100 orders before they would bring the kit back into production. Gravana was willing to buy 50 kits themselves, but was running a GP for the other 50 kits. The number was never met and the kit wasn't put back into production.

If mine were sold in Urethane form when
I bought it over three years ago & paid $680 for it.......I would have positively
gone with Urethane.vs Fiberglass. But, it wasn't available in Urethane until
just recently, so I just went with fiberglass. At the time, I was one of the very
few people that even HAD a Drift Kit, because it was fiberglass kit & needed
modifications to fit correctly. Unlike the Urethane kit, which is a quick
paint-n-bolt-me-on kit. Most people just didn't want to hassle with the pains
of modding it correctly to fit. So it made for a great rare kit.

But, to answer the question at hand?

YES, Urethane is WORTH it. lol

urethane = hard to fix, doesnt break easily.... fiberglass = breaks real easy but is easy to fix.....

Have you looked at a V- fiber kit? I have a fiberglass kit but some lady hit my back bumper and it's looked like the bumper exploded. (Yes not a very expensive kit) So my insurance bought me a V-fiber rear bumper from kidimports.com. I really noticed a difference and it was about $200 shipped.

they dont make that kit in urethane anymore, i dont know why you dont believe shifted. if your finding any kit for 400 shipped, its not urethane thats for sure

Lets put it this way. I recently backed into a mustang with my Rksport type J rear being the contact point. Needless to say there was only minor discoloration because the bumper just popped back out. You could hardy tell. Whereas if I had fiberglass I would be buying a new one or getting it fixed somewhere.

Conclusion: WORTH IT.

i talked to jim vs no longer makes it in urethane. and it is just the front bumper. not the whole kit. i don't want a kit because then it really isn't my design. and i really really want it in urethane but they don't make it. grrrrrr i really like that bumper too.

and the v-fiber is a bomex or bmx rip off.

actually urathane doesn't crack that easily......i've hit a curb, 2 raccoons at 55+mph, and i've been backed into and there isn't even stress fractures

i want that bumper bad. it is driving me crazy. i am so and at my self for not buying it back in the day. i may just have to break down and buy in fiber glass, or get a urethane bomex rip off.

just keep checking the regionals and classifieds. ecc use to make them but stopped and i know versus wanted to make them but never got enough interest. if you keep your eye open you'll find one but they are pretty rare and im sure they wont go for cheap
