I'm looking for a picture of somebody who either has done this mod already or can photoshop it ...... what I am looking for is some body who has a set of slotted rotors NOT drilled just slotted , who has painted the slots on the rotors .... if anyone can help me that would be great can't find anything in the search criteria ....

bad things happen to good people. DO NOT paint your rotors. calipers yes, rotors no.

i have EBC rotors and they come all black until they are used and the black wears off except in the dimples and slots. it's anodized tho.

so they appear to be black in the slots and dimples

the heat that is produced on the rotors will just burn the paint off anyway

wouldn't the holes and slots get filled with break dust, and the paint melt?

no, not for EBC it's anodized. i'm sure there's some kinda paint that can withstand the heat and you can paint the slotted parts. and i paid i think 130 or something for the EBC rotors. i didnt get the EBC pads when i should have. so if u buy EBC get the pads too.

I painted my rotors so they wouldnt rust. the part that the pad touches gets cleaned up every time you apply the brakes, and the rest stays silver, and doesnt rust.

High temp engine paint works great.

Everytime I've done a brake job on my J's I've always painted up the capalier and rotors. It really cleans up behind the wheels. I paint the brakes either silver or black, and the pads body color most of the time. I use VHT Capalier paint for both. I've had tons of people tell me my brakes are always so clean...

ok sorry it took so long to get back to this post FIRST OFF!
Christina those brakes are hot and if you can shoot me a link for those rotors ... please.
STYLEZ and TRD Cav Fire I was leaning more towards either high temp engine or the VHT paints, and see my rotors I have now are just slotted not drilled or both just slotted so I think it would look good and I am actually getting ready to put in stainless lines so I'm gonna paint it all at once and do the drums and calipers black ..
thanks everyone for the input its been a big help ... keep it comin! pics if you got 'em

If you go to my site you can see mine. Every car I own I paint the calipers...Looks so much cleaner, etc. I have also done some friends cars. When I went to Carlisle one year someone asked me if they had them powder coated

Takes me about 4-5 hrs to do one car and I redo them every year. Some say I have OCD, oh Well

I don't use the high temp. paint. I go to a local shop and give them the paint code to get the excact match except for the vette. Do it and take your time sanding and preppin! null
