Ok, so i was at wal-mart, and was looking at bondo and that kind of stuff, and i saw a thing in a spray can that said "rubberized undercoating" on it... is that just the stuff you spray on the bottom of your car to protect the bottom and everything? thats what im thinkin... just wanted to make sure.. cause iv been wanting to do that forever... can get a pic of the can if needed, thanks

it can be used for multiple projects. i use it inside all the boxes i build. i personally wouldnt do it under the car unless you can sand blast the underbody. from friends and shops previous experience, if you spray the bottom of a car that already has signs of rust and you dont prep it immavculately, you just seal in moisture causing rust inside the coating that you'd never see until it all falls out.
Hmmm... alright... now i have another ?.. the floor pans in my car were rusting out, and i used rustoleum on them.. i preped a little bit..but not really that much.. will that do the same thing or will it be ok? thanks

the right way to fix rust is to grind down the area if it isnt already all the way through the metal. if its through the metal you have to cut it out and weld in a new piece.

x2. theres really no way to save it once it starts rusting.
