This is just sorta random... I backed into my parking space at work today, and when I went out to my car for lunch, I found a black cord with a 3-pronged plug (like you'd plug into a wall socket) sticking out from under my car. When I grabbed it, I realized that it was attached to my car, and it took me a second to figure what it was. Needless to say, it was rather beaten-up from being dragged along as I drove. Apparently, the cord had been stuffed up inside the engine bay, and finally rattled loose from all my driving. My car was originally Canadian-market, but I live in Texas and a block heater isn't something I ever thought to look for. It was kinda funny because it was about 95*F out today...
Anyway, the whole point of this is: what do I do with it? It looks kinda crappy having a beat-up electrical cord attached to the back of my engine just lying in my engine bay, and I have no use for it. Besides, it seems like another thing to go wrong with my car. Can I just take this whole thing out of my car, or is it like, inside my engine? I haven't gotten a chance to really look it over. any advise is welcome...
lol wow what a find. If you can't figure out how to take it off and if it's not too much in your way I'd just leave it. Where in TX are you?

If youre never going to use it, and the cord is too ugly in the engine bay... why not whack off the cord at the base?
It most likely is installed in place of a freeze plug. Messing with uninstalling it could give you a coolant leak if you are not able to get the replacment freeze plug installed correctly.. I would follow the advice of the guys above.
