wind splitters?

I was looking for I think what they call Wind splitters? or Canards maybe lol Well I want a pair for my 2004 cav...I see that you can have them under your bumper cover or actually on it....I would rather have them under so when I bottom out it doesnt chip paint......Does anyone know where I can find these in carbon fiber preferrably? or maybe find a vehicle they make them for that will fit also on the cav Thanks

canards

personally, i've never liked how they look, they're real hard to make look right, and they'll never be utilized properly on a car as slow as ours.

i think he is talking about a splitter and not a canard. and since he wants it for when he bottoms out, it most definitely IS a proper utilization because speed doesnt come into play for using it.

no one makes a specific one for our cars that i am aware of, but there are tons of stuff on ebay to buy, such as this. look at the pics and see if one of them look close enough to your bumper to fit. thats all you really can do. and dont forget to get some supports for it!

^^^the closest they have to one specific to our cars is the Buddy Club 2 splitter that fits the BC2 front bumpers.

thats just how big the splitter is. if you want it to be closer to your bumper, youll have to trim the back of it

or just move it back in more. i had one on mine when i had the trd kit.

i suggested cutting it because if you look at the bc2 splitter, it goes all the way back to ecotecpower's wheel well whereas it looks like your splitter is a different style and just a bit smaller, making it almost the perfect size for a cav bumper.

true i didnt notice that the bc2 splitter covers all the way back like that. in that case yea you would have to cut it.

yeah im guessing the bc2 splitter is larger because its a "universal buddy club 2" design, meaning its meant to be used on any bc2 bumper, so they had to make it larger for a few styles that were larger bumpers, but they could make other styles smaller.

did you get your splitter from buddy club 2? i dont suppose you have any uninstalled pictures of it do you?

no mine was a universal vis one. i dont have any uninstalled pics but thats pretty much it how i have it shown. where it stops under my bumper, it just went straight across. i cut the middle out because of the air that would come threw the opening of the bumper, just push down on that extra material so i just cut it off.
