Hey all, i havent been on here in some time. However many of you who do rememer me if any will know that I am one of the few who was making a extrememly limited number of projectors back in the day a few years ago. Last summer I completed a passenger side 100% custom headlight housing that unlike stock encompasses the entire opening that the headlight sits in, basically no more recess. Now this is not something im working on, I am done, all i need to do is mold it and make opys basically. I am planning duals as now there is more space then stock, and no loger an issue with mouting bolts as I can put them wherever I want on the final product. These will be clear lense black housing style like mine, IMHO the only way to go. With that in mind, in order to make them so no cutting of the firewall will be necessary to mold the lenses with slight "humps" in them similar to the newer nsx's and c6's. It is currently snowing and dark here so I am unable to take pictures yet I will tomorrow asap. What I am looking for here is just a rough idea as to the remaining market for these, as i was pitching this 2-3 years ago to great success. So heres the skinny: One off custom, fiberglass housing, lexan lense, black housing single or dual projectors anything from ebay cheapo to bosch is possible, full size (no more recessed headlight), angel eyes with/without (any, shape, size, color as I make them not buy them etc), looking for price to be anywhere from 200-300 for cheaper projectors and sky's the limit really on higher end models, maybe even bi-xenon ($1000+ parts alone). Now there are pics of the ones on my sunfire on my cardomain page you can see that in my prof. I made these at least 3 years ago maybe 4, and I can post pics of a set I made for another JBO member here a while back so you can see the angel eyes as I have none on mine. So if you are interested just post here, ill take pics tomorrow and post em of it on my car to give you a better look at it. Thanks.
P.S. I also have a 04 cavalier that is my DD now so similar things may in the future be possible for that model.

i remember you from back in the day. one of the first to make sunfire projectors. i would say that there probably is a fair amount of interest here, assuming the price is right. although cavalier projectors would sell much better if you could do those also.
after you post pics you should look into getting as detailed of a pricing list as possible, otherwise youll be answering 500 "how much will this cost" emails. another possible answer that might be a good idea would be to sell these as kits and let the buyer assemble them. that way you could just pop them out of a mold, make a lens, and send them along with the projectors to the customer. doing this could really help you prevent getting into the mess that Josh is in right now.....

The only thing with the cav lights are the cav is my daily driver so it is abit difficuklt to make molds from it when im driving it, plus its snowing nowmaybe in the spring

i havent made the brackets yet, and this isnt a finished pruduct this is the plug that a mold will be made from and then copies will be made from that mold with the brackets molded in on the finished product, also the reason for the gap under the light seen in a few photos. This plug was molded directly in the opening for my headlight and fills the opening both under the hood and on the bumper more fully allowing for greatly increased volume, theoretically enough space for duals.

hmm....another suggestion for you that might help the process become a little easier would be to use another type of material to make the lights out of, such as polyurethane. i havent checked the costs, but if you did that you could just use one mold per light and no lens (if you had the right kind of projector).
that might not make too much sense at the moment, but i'll look for some videos that describe the process to do this sort of thing so you can see how easy it really is.
