This is pretty much just a random question... what caused the front lips to fall off the 02 Cavaliers? I know they were held to the bumper with clips but what created such a problem? You dont often see the rear lips missing? Was it improper care of the driver or was it just a big F-Up on GM's part and if thats the case shouldnt it have been a recall?
some didnt come with front lips and only came with rear lips. thats why you see so many around like that
I have a 02 LS sport and my front lip is starting to come off, I don't why why must be POS chevy engineering I haven't been miss treating it or hitting things. It started with the center clip disappearing now 2 others are gone, look crappy.

I don't know from experiance but my guess is that if you guys are loosing clips and you are not hitting anything then most likely it is crapy clips that just dry rott right off. The plastic gets so brittle that a little vibration just snaps it off after a while.
Just get different clips for the ones that break off. Think of something to put in it's place cause clips from GM are most likely $5 a piece lol.

I'm sorry, but I don't think that is true at all. I've gone up to cars that don't have front lips, and they have had the holes for them. So I think the crub just took them out. With me being lowered on sportlines my front lip is very low.
I had lip kit on my 2001 Z24. The car was lowered 2 inches. They lasted one winter.
i've sadly had to take mine after lowerin my car a bit more than pro-kit. took it off for winter last year. didn't make it this time, damaged it when i should have taken it off already. i don't think gm would have a rear lip but not a front lip come standard.

Hehe I'm rolling around with both lips on lowered on Sportlines...

I have seen a lot of cavs around here with out the front lip. I just got mine this past summer and made it all summer with out any problems but took it off for winter because I didn't want to lose it. I left the rear on though.
i just got my lip a few months ago. it had the clips but i just screwed it to the bumper to. so i know its not falling off. and plus there are alot of people stealing the lips around her to. try screwing ive had no problem. i got to close to the curb and the curb bent my bumper and lip to hell and it still did not fall off lol.
well that beats my question to hell i was going to ask how to attach them because i just bought front and rear and i dont see how those clips hold it on by themselves.
