All opinions would be greatly appriciated
I just recently sold my grand am and purchased a 2000 cavalier cpe. well I had an aftermarket
hood that I sold for 500.00 on ebay. They sent the money by paypal and I was seriously letting
it burn a hole in my pocket. well I came accross one of them google ads you see on every site
now adays about CAR SPONSORSHIP. well I know this topic has been disussed but I clicked anyway
They had a 19.99 application fee and after reading all the details I thought hey whats 20 bucks?
Not even a week later a man named dave called me from MTX! He said he was in dire need of
a cavalier by the end of march and I was the only one that had submitted an application for a
cavalier! Well he asked me a few questions about my car, Shows in my area. things like that
well he never gave me an answer if I received a sponsorship or not. Just I will be getting back
with you.
I waited a few days and told some friends and they checked out the website and told me to call
the guy back and see if it was really MTX. well it was! I hung up on the guy as I didn't want
him to think I was bugging him.
A lot of my friends have submitted applications within the past few weeks. And I'd hate to
think I was ripped off and I helped rip off my friends. But I think this may be legitimate
Has anyone dealt with www.gr8-dealz-usa.com/sponsorship.
The thing that led me to believe it may be legit is that they do not offer sponsorships all
the time like them other bogus sites. They sell electronics and they said that they have
over 200 sponsorships available and are only accepting 600 applications. And If I am the only
one that submitted a cavalier I should get the sponsorship?
What do you think? I am going crazy!!!!!!
(tabs) wrote:sorry kid. you got ripped.
although to me this seems like its a clever way of promoting that site without it sounding like it. are you for real, or are you a troll?
I checked out the site and it is definitely a spoof site to rip you off all the internal links direct to an outside source. I am sorry to hear that you got ripped off because you did. Best bet is to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if you want your $20 bucks back and have the scam shut down.
If you are a ad-bot or troll well you have a funny way of promoting your scam by making it sound like you got ripped off.
the BBB is a joke. it cant really do anything because it has no legal sanction powers, only suggestive ones with those companies that are actually members.
and the way i read it he was saying "hey look at me, this sounds like the normal scan but it isnt and i really got sponsored by MTX!" as a way of saying that it
wasnt a scam, although we all know it is.
joined a day ago, no profile info, no car info, no location, etc. sounds like a troll to me.
BAN HIM!
95+ Cavalier and Sunfire Convertible Service Manual! A must read for vert owners!
and this has to do with exterior HOW?

Wanting a nice set of black 17's with mint tires? Pm me.
I am sorry if I posted in the wrong section. is this really how you treat members. I have been a member of grandamgt.com for years!!!!
Now I have a cav so I figured I'd Join. Now I am fully aware of what trolls are. If I got ripped off it will not be the first time. I have several friends and they seem to have mixed feelings on this so I figured I'd give it a try on here. I am in no way affiliated with the website above nor wish to advertise it especially if it is not legitimate. If I was I'd probably have said something like Hey guys just got sponsored go to this site.
Sorry if I placed this in wrong category but when I applying for the sponsorship in my mind was getting a body kit something of that sort. EXTERIOR. Now I could have posted this in a car audio section because MTX but I really am no Mtx fan but hey free stuff!
Sorry if I offended anyone you can have this thread removed
One more thing. Since I am definately not a troll and hope to stay joined to your site as it will probably hard to get any help with my cav questions on a grand am site. I am sorry if anyone took this as a free way to promote the above mentioned website. But it was not. On gagt.com I would always point out places I have purchased from. No one has ever said ban him or anything of that sort.
I took into consideration of robman that it could be a spoof site which I have heard about spoof sites from paypal so since I paid with Paypal I contacted them thinking these people may have access to my paypal account. They said that they were legitimate as far as a business but of course they couldn't guarantee me my sposnsorship! (lol)
Again I am very sorry for those whom I have apparently offended.
if the guy you talked to is from mtx then you may have a shot. hanging up on someone was stupid, nowadays its real easy to find out where the number came from if he wanted to. give it a week from the original phonecall and call him back and just say you are checking up on how things were going.
on the flipside if i was the guy from mtx and i head you saying you really are no fan of mtx but just want free stuff i wouldnt even so much as send your ass a free sticker. you'd be out the door.

Yup. The whole REASON companies hand out sponsorships it to promote thier own products. I wouldn't give you things either if I knew you wouldn't promote them, or say things
like that. If you don't believe in a product / don't like it, then don't endorse it.

besides, MTX is an awesome company with damn good products. the subs are ok but some have trouble with blowing constantly.

They probably guessed you're a troll because you have no information in your profile. USUALLY people who are going to stick around for a while fill out some info in their profiles, people who just troll the site usually don't put up any information or take the time to fill out their profiles.
I'm sorry you got scammed, but take a few minutes, fill out your profile, and do some reading on the site... and good luck!
www.gr8-dealz-usa.com/sponsorship.
That website just from the looks of the address scream BS, lol

is what I got in response from them. I think you were lied to
I have a gr8 dealz for this scam site....they can lick my NUTZ...4 FREE!
go to www.carsponsors.com it's $100 a year but it's worth it! You get mild discounts on alot of companies products, and every once in awhile you get a full sponsorship. I have 21 quasi sponsors and 2 full sponsors, I've been there for two years and it works good for me. The only real benefit of it is that when you buy something from a sponsor you get a discount and a couple of stickers, then you install the products and put the stickers on your car. When you win a car show all you have to do is show them your trophy and some pictures of your car with the products and stickers on it and they send you back 100% of the money you spent on there products! It's part of there reimbursement program and it's for real!
P.S. people on here know me, I've been here for a few months and I've been on clubcav.com for years so I'm obviously not some troll posting @!#$ to just promote a company...

this thread is funny. you dont pay for a real sponsorship. people like teske, bummez and others havent built full cars for nothing. hell they could of just spent 100 bucks and got a sponsor. this site cracks me up.
I like the whole idea of 100% sponsorships without spending a dime to acquire them through a website....
I do enjoy my sponsorship and working for them.

thats how they make all their money. 95% of the people they sponsor wont ever win a show so they are making money off of 95% of what they sell with all the people who will never win shows they can easily afford to reinburse the 5% of the guys on the site with decent cars that do win. its somewhat legitimate in the fact that you can get parts for free but the catch is that the majority of the cars suck and wont ever win lol
