To make a long story short I had to replace my driver side front fender... i've removed the old fender.. installed the new fender (came off a wrecked vehicle but is in mint condition).. there is no damage to any of the supports/bracing or anything like that... everything lined up perfectly... however the portion closest to the door does not line up like the passenger side does... as well it does not line up 100% with the hood.... we adjust the hood slightly so it didn't look as obvious.. however it looks like the top portion closest to the door is sticking out... is there anything I should double check as to what could be causing this??

sometimes you need to shim the top fender bolts (between the fender and the hood) so that it raises the fender a little which in turn moves the side in a little.

hmm.. I'll try that out... i'll take some pictures tomorrow to show you guys what it looks like
