I have a ? If i wer to cutt of my roof of the cav weld doors shut run some bars across the floor and back seat for support will it still be structialy safe?
or is it a dumb idea, or can it be done and how is the right way?? Any help will be app.

nope.. the jbody verts has over 100 different braces. some you cant see. and some you can and dont even realize. just go out and buy a vert.
Buy a vert, gut it, cut a good roof off a coupe, weld it on, and then cut the "targa top" out of it. Vert's roofs are not structural so no worries.

i too have a question??? If i were to take my bike and cut off the front fork and make some kind of support there for it and then put a dildo where the seat should go...would that be like totally sweet or what? i would ride it allllllllll day...and then when im done i can wear that bio-hazard suit and swim with dolphins thinking about how sweet it would be to cut the roof of a perfectly good cavy and spend more money doing it than i vert would cost...

i would say if u have the time, money, and ability go for it. i took the easy way out and just bought one. but the verts are actually coupes cut up anyway so it is possible lol.

lots o chassis flex, azn is right the whole rocker assembly is diferent and bigger, thats why all the verts have some type of side skirt on them, right behind them is big nasty square tubing. But hey if you dont value the car, have fun with it. I wanna see pics.

Give me a garage to work in, the money to fund it, and i'll do it. I actually think getting it road legal that way would be alot easier since it is already a vert car.
