i have a 94 Sunbird, lately it wont start cause the safety switch thinks its not in park (it is), but it starts everytime in Netural. if i move the shifter a few times, its ok and will probably start if i'm lucky, but its getting to be a real hassle. its better now, but i dont want it to happen again (parents car). is there a way to bypass the switch? other than unplugging the switch on the tranny (don't wanna loose my reverse lights)

And does anyone know how hard it is to change a heater core on the 94 sunbird? how hard is it to get to and does half the dash have to come out?
