Crankshaft Position Sensor

From what I understand when this is changed out the ECU has to be flash/relearn/reset? How exactly do I do this or do I have to pay for it at a local shop? I have a 2000Z

I believe a generic scan tool can do it.. but yes it has to go through a relearn I think.. I'm not positive though.

So it does not. Take the old one out, put the new one it and go.

After the second day with my CPS it kept misfiring then stopped running so obviously it needed to relearn everything. I had it towed to the dealership so this can happen Monday.

You won't need any reflash after replacing a crank sensor. Just replace it, and use a scanner to clear any codes if needed. If your car stopped running, it's from something other than the cranks sensor.
