The thing that shows the miles on it, forget the name, sometimes the numbers wont show up for awhile then it will turn on other times only 3 or 4 will show up then after a while they will all come up. Its digital and its weird and i just wanna make sure nothing its messed up that will affect something else.

eventually that will make it work, but please do a search next time, everyone seems to have this problem and there is no real way to fix it other than hittin it until it lights up
i guess you cold take it out and re-solder the light under the odo, but im not sure
someone please correct me if im wrong on the fact that there is no fix, b/c mine does it too and its gettin really Efiing annoying
let me guess it's a 98-99?
it's due to loose connection. you can take it apart and resolder it. may help, may not. smacking the dash usually works fine.
just wait until it looks like the odometer is talking in some weird language to you, like mine does.

if its digital, then its not a 98 because i have a 98 and its a wheel odometer.
i recieved some good advise from a friend a while ago..."If its a chevy just kick it and it will work again"
um yea mines a98 with a digital odometer
1998 and 1999 came with the digital odometer that had these problems and were the same ones where the mileage was stored in the cluster itself.

My digital odometer went out on me a couple of months ago on my 98z.I looked everywhere for a replacement bulb but couldnt find one.One of the guys i work with had some spare bulbs in his tool box from a honda gauge cluster,and it worked perfect.You might wanna look into that.I dont know what year make or model it came from,but most likley there all the same.
