Wow, $35 for a belt. Shop around first.

Dayco is some quality hadrware, pay the premium cost, belts are kinda a pain to change. Also check your tensioner at the same time.
Since it is a serpentine system, pulley alignment should also be checked, you can trash a lot of stuff if not, just a 'lil FIY for ya.
If you do not have mechanical savvy, take it to the dealer, they will do it all, normally the right way, and it will save you in the long run, but it will be expensive.
Just a note dayco is a division of goodyear,I have just regular belts not a serp, but have used dayco serps on my wifes use to own civic.Good quality belt and auto zone carries dayco or kelly springfield which is just as good.
^^^Kelly is good, must agree.
I use Dayco on every car I've ever had with flawless performance, but never the serpentine.
I do not like Autozone though, they gave me a shot tie rod once, and then the wrong part when I took it back, made me spend half my day for a simple job.
Granted that was for a '90 PGT, which is kind of a rare car, but jeezus, 2 mistakes in the same day?
Use the independant dealers, better service, and good parts.
The corporate guys suck balls, outside of NAPA, but they cost big time
that belt is worth every penny i have a similar belt on my trans am a gatorback by someone, i forget who, but those pre cut notches in the belt avoid all cracks like a regular serp belt and it much quieter and will last longer.

ok cool, thanks for the imput, i think i will get the dayco gatorback then. I'm pretty sure my tensioner is fine, but i will give it a visual check.
Yes borsty the gatorback is a goodyear,or dayco product.IT is specifically made by dayco but,its goodyear whose name is really behind it in manufacturing.Good belts, for sure.
thats who i thought but then he said dayco was goodyear so i thought it was different
