Well, ive come here to see if you guys can help. I have a 1997 cavalier. Just did a wheel bearing on the left side to take care of a vibration. The wheel bearing fixed the vibration and now im starting to hear a new noise. ITs like a metal on metal loud vibrations, think of a loud grunt. Happens on take of real bad until i hit around 3000 rpm then it only happens randomly very quietly when i go over small imperfections in the road. At first when i got the wheel bearing i heard this sound and assumed the bearing was bad because this had happened to me before on a different car. At this point the sound is getting nasty. Im thinking motor mounts maybe, maybe even a tranny mount but i have a feel its a moving suspension part. Point me in the right direction, most the time you guys do. Thanks

Sounds like it could be a strut mount if you think its a suspension part.
