There are currently no transmission mounts being produced for the 4-speed autos (4T40e) transmission.

no transmission mounts being produced for the 4-speed autos ? Ive checked for poly mounts I am aware they dont make them. I am wanting to replace my stock one with another, I just want to know if anyone has done the replace install.? I am just wondering how difficult it is to replace this tranny mount.

just doing an OEM swap or even taking it out and back in period isnt hard especially if you have a hoist but themain concept is support the tranny from underneath, remove the 4 bolts from the fender and then the other 4 bolts off the tranny and slide it out and slip the new one back in

a vital solution called 3-M Weld. here is a write-up (not specifically for the J-car, but the same principle)

Its not horrible to change them, just a PITA. A long extension is your friend and you can get to the bolt that holds the mount tot he car from the wheel well. good luck

u must have the drop the tranny quite a bit? is it safe to lower the jack with the tranny on it, it looked to me like a very tight fit. i have to get this mount done soon

yes. there are also special jacks just for transmissions. lower it very slowly.
