Quick question about intake filters
Tuesday, September 27, 2005 12:00 PM
I have a quick question about cleaning my intake filter. The other day I took it off and used the hose to spray it down and get rid of some of the crap that has accumulated on it. I let it dry overnight with a fan pointing towards it. My question is this: Is this the best way to clean out your air filter, or have I just done harm to my engine? The filter appeared to be very dry by morning so I don't think any water got a chance to sneak in the engine.

I hope your not talking about a paper filter, if so buy a new one. If not, Go to auto zone or advance auto and pick up a cleaning kit.

I don't think it's a paper filter. It's one that I just picked up at Autozone for like, 15 bucks.
