62 MM throttle body on stock manifold

Hey peeps, I heard somewhere that if y6ou put the RSM 62 MM throttle body on a stock intake manifold it will stick open. There is some sort of lip on the manifold that catches or something. Is there any truth to this???? I have a throttle body that I picked up from a friend of mine, but I am waiting to put it on until I find out for sure

no, its not true, i forgot if it was lenko who tested it or wat but its fine, will NOT stick, but you could dremel the lip a little just to be completly safe i guess

If you're talking about the throttle body butterfly staying open, than that's incorrect.

Your throttle body butterfly opens with a cable, the cable is controlled by your throttle (gas pedal). So the answer is no, it would not stay open if the Throttle Body is not damaged and somehow permanently staying open.

the throttle sticking is why rsm wont sell the tb with out the intake for the 2.4

the throttle blade sits low in the body , and will catch on the edge of the hole in the intake

i cant say it happens on each intake in every case , but for rsm its a liability

only way to know for sure is to bolt the tb down , and see if it sticks , youll have to do it hot and cold , because of expansion and contraction of the parts

the eco's got off easier because the opening in the intake was bigger

No... RSM is full of @!#$. I will take pics as final proof of this.

The only way it would get stuck in the manifold opening, is if the throttle plate fell off the arm. In which case, you have other problems.

I don't have no problems but I have a Venom manifold too.
