...my mech. is installing my secret weap. intake (thank you, defined parts)...but is telling me the silicone tube that attaches to the egr is too short. by about 3.5 inches. he says he can fab a silicone hose to run from the intake to the egr, but doesnt know how the hose will work with it (i guess if the exhaust will melt the silicone?) . anyone else experience this problem? I need a soultion...if not, im sure ill throw a cel. thanks in advance!

The intake has nothing to do with the egr valve, you need to find a new mechanic.
