If you perform the 2.3 oil pump/windage tray swap will the 2.4 vibrate badly? If so would balancing the rotating assemby at rebuild time eliminate the vibration if there is any? I'm asking because soon I will be starting a 2.4 buildup and I plan on using the lightened/knife edged JBP crank, Eagle H beam rods, forged 9.5 cr custom pistons, 086 head swap, HO intake, custom turbo cams, turbo 60-1, custom turbo header, balance shaft removal 2.3 oil system.
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.
just have your rotating assembly balanced when you have the engine done....... you will still vibrate, but dont be a sissy.

You won't notice any difference in vibrations from removing the balance shafts. I've had 2 different 2.4's in my car with removed balance shafts.
