Ok Don't want a big argument if you don't think the mod works keep it to your self because i dont care!!!!! I don't want this to be a big flame war like the orignal post!!!!!!!!!!

Ok with that said does any one have pictures of the bored eco intake manifold besides that one fuzzy one. Or the size and shape of the ports? So I could mesure and dremel the intake manifold to match. Anywas also you guys were talking breaking throught I would like info so I can be careful not to. Anywas I thought of it to be an interesting useful post but then it turned in to a flame war and it went from providing good info to a big argument that didn't get anyone anywere!!!

Not to side track but the flamers are so bad on theres forums that in car magazine some one wrote in a question about a sunfire/cavalier they told them the answer then they said go to jbody.org but becareful or you will get flamed!!!!

But when you respond please make it about the intake manifold!!!!!!!!!

I don't have the pics but I do have a recommendation for you... Take a Eco Intake Manifold Gasket and just cut to where the gasket starts... or apply some paint to the block around the intake and press the manifold onto the head. Done right you will end up with markings on the manifold that show exactly the hole size and shape you need. Good luck with it...

I was going to have this done but that was untill I found out that we can use the intake manifolds off the 2003 Saab 9-3s w/the 2.0 ECOTECs (High Output Models). It's alluminum and actually sits lower than our intake manifolds. No one knows for sure if it flows better but I wouldn't doubt it if it did.

I would prefer to keep the plastic intake manifold rather than the aluminum one to keep the intake charge cooler. The aluminum one will heat up more.

The thing about it though is that if you port it would probably give a better flow amount and also would be stronger. You might be right about the heat situation but I don't think it would be that big of a deal especially since it's coming off another stock vehicle.
