can anyone give me the 411 on methanol injection. I've read a few articles online but they only tell you the good things about it. So if you guys can list some pros and cons it would be great.
It's great if you're boosted. Cool your intake temps. Increase octane. Lean out the A/F mix. Advance timing. Boost like crazy. It's bad unless you like to blow up, rinse, and repeat. Once you introduce methanol into the mix, you run a big risk of doing serious damage to the motor. I wouldn't do it on a n/a motor. It's kind of like nitrous on a killing spree.
