I am looking for a stroker kit for my 04 Sunfire with a 2.2 ecotec and i was wondering if anyone knows anyplace that sells a stroker kit for my engine
don't suppose you're the one who's friend is asking about the SS engine swap?
anyway, the only current way to "stroke" a 2.2 eco at this point is to buy a 2.4L eco crank. I'm not sure what if any rod/piston changes would be necessary, and if the compression would wind up any different. That would be something to discuss with your engine builder. But, IMO it would probably be easiest to just take the 2.2 head and put it on a 2.4 shortblock. Then you'd get 2.4L of displacement, and 10.4:1 compression over the 2.2's 10:1. I certainly hope you plan on cams and a head porting, as the performance difference from the added displacement and less than half a compression point would probably not be very impressive.

If the heads dont get shaved it would increase the compression.
