I heard that goin with already made kits for your car is better sound than gettin the muffler theen getting custom bends. So the question is has anyone gotten the magnaflow or borla kit for our jbodies. i was wonderng which i should go with. If i can even go with the borla

magnaflow has one listed for my 99 sunfire gt, but borla only lists one for 00-03 jbodies (if there is a difference in the 00-03 from the 95-99)

borla doesnt offer their system for our cars any more , also their tubing size is 2"

that info on the years sounds all wrong, 00-03? two different engines in there...thats for the Borla i mean. the exhaust set up are almost identical from 95-02, amiright?

95-97(maybe 98) ohv , has 1 cat back

95-98 2.3 and 2.4 is the same

and 99-05 is the same

I had a full magnaflow cat back system, the one o ne their website witht he single exit, and it sounded like @!#$, raspy as ever. It was like a swarm of bumble bees coming at you, but maybe your into that, who knows. Now I have just a magnaflow cat, and muffler without their resonator and all that, and it sounds good. Not too deep, but not too raspy, it just purrs, especially when your in 2nd and 3rd gear around 3500rpms. But thats just my 2 cents, oh and have a 2000 cavalier 2.2

ive got the dual, was raspy after the header, bought a Glasspack (Thrush), been great since.

i've got the dual and I love em.

yeah id have to agree with everything said my duals sound amazing not raspy not to loud, adds a nice tone.
